This charming miniature of the bluff, sturdy oak built Botter fishing vessel shows it's characteristic leeboards. They were the solution for navigating the shallow fishing grounds and replaced the center keel to correct lateral drift.

Hand made in wood, plank on frame, measuring 34.5" long, 31.5" high, and 8.75" wide.

A Little Dutch Botter Tongue Twister

This is not so much about a Dutch Botter, just a playful little tongue twister based on the Botter name. See if you can say it three times fast! I can't but maybe you can!

Betty Botter bought some butter,

But, she said, the butter's bitter.

If I put it in my batter,

It will make my batter bitter.

But a bit of better butter

Is sure to make my batter better.

So she bought a bit of butter

Better than her bitter butter,

And she put it in her batter

And the batter was not bitter.
